Manhasset LED Lamp II
Manhasset replaced their rechargeable model 1050 with the 1060, also known as LED Lamp II, which removes the rechargeable capability and uses three AA batteries instead. Designed by Manhasset to fit their stands, this light is priced affordably. Two clips provide excellent stability, but do not accommodate stand desks any thicker than the Manhasset. It operates either on wall power or on batteries (but will not charge the batteries). The 1060 sits over 4 inches above the top of the stand, which limits visibility of the conductor but provides more than ample clearance for tall music. It covers most of two pages, except for the upper corners, and casts a blue color on the music. As the batteries lose power, the light continuously dims. The LEDs were still on after 19 hours in our testing, but only 32 lux was emitted at that point. The power switch provides low and high brightness settings and is located prominently on the side. The head tilts to four positions to angle the light to the page and folds under for transportation. However, the large plastic shell does not collapse, so the space gained for storage is minimal.
